I was chatting with a friend the other day about the importance of mindfulness (self awareness and consciousness in general) and its role in resolving, changing, growing, and learning something new. Whether you’re wanting to kick a bad habit (the real reason why maybe those resolutions are sticking), adopt a different lifestyle, or push your boundaries a little – it’s worth while recognizing the who, what, where, when and why’s of how you got to where you are, and how you can begin to evolve. Awareness. And I’m not about to go all “deep” on the subject about “What does awareness and consciousness really mean?” and “How do we get there?“. I’m simply going to reiterate something from a TED talk that just clicked: curiosity my friends.
This year, the annual Boobyball transported guests through the Milky Way galaxy to Planet Booby! It was an extraterrestrial night of titillating treats and talents. Astronauts, aliens, drones, and earthy beings were seen sharing champagne, lounging on modern EQ3 furniture, getting ones nails done by Urban Oasis and hair touched up by Aveda at the beauty bar, gorging in candies from Set the Bar (…I wasn’t the only one), dancing to the live DJ’s Zuki, A.O.K.S. and Scott Kamins on a glowing dancefloor, to conveniently refueling with fresh oxygen at the oxygen bar. They clearly understood that the key to a fun party is a variety of bars!
But the Boobyball simply wouldn’t be the annual show stopping success it is without the cause that drives it. Here’s where the Booby comes in for those of you who are confused. (the WHAT ball? …yes, you heard me, booooooobyyyyy) The Boobyball isn’t just a unique and stylish party, it’s a one of a kind fundraiser with a cause that’s got us proud to say…we’re here for the boobs!
